Skiing

Skiing in the Alps is an absolute must for every winter sports fan. From The Chedi Andermatt you have easy access to around 180 kilometres of pistes, e.g. on the Gemsstock and Nätschen, in Sedrun and Disentis as well as on the Oberalp. The SkiArena Andermatt-Sedrun-Disentis is an eldorado for freeride professionals, but families and beginners can also enjoy the easier slopes. The ski butlers at The Chedi Andermatt look after our guests, give them tips on the ski area, hire equipment from HEAD and drive them to and from the Nätschen and Gemsstock valley.

Cross-Country Skiing

As well as great downhill runs, the Andermatt-Sedrun-Disentis ski area also offers excellent opportunities for cross-country skiing. A total of 28 kilometres of cross-country tracks are available in the Urseren valley. Suitable for both classic cross-country skiing and skate skiing, the trails will add a new dimension to your skiing holiday in Switzerland. In Realp, a 10-minute drive away, a special night trail even allows you to cross-country ski at night under floodlights.

Snowshoe Trekking

If you prefer to explore at a more leisurely pace during your winter holiday in Switzerland, Andermatt is an ideal base for snowshoeing. You can choose between various marked trails that will take through the most beautiful landscapes. Whether you are an experienced snowshoe hiker, looking for a challenge or just want to try it for the first time, there is a trail for every level around our luxury winter resort in Switzerland. Freeriding

Did you know that the SkiArena Andermatt-Sedrun-Disentis is Switzerland's freeride eldorado? This means that even the best skiers can also go off-piste and make the most out of the natural landscape. Freeride professionals get their money's worth here, but also beginners can also improve their technique off-piste. A ski instructor from the Swiss Snowsports School Andermatt will take you on an adventure and show you the most beautiful off-piste runs in the ski area.

As well as skiing, our beautiful region has plenty of other exciting winter activities to offer. How about ice skating? Sledding

Here in Andermatt you will find several toboggans runs, from easy to adventurous. It is up to you to decide what you would like to try, with or without the children.
