Alpine, Asian and locally connected. Surrounded by mountains, forests and meadows, Andermatt and The Chedi Andermatt have dedicated themselves to nature. We are committed to sustainable action, responsible use of resources and regionalism with the aim of continuously reducing CO2 emissions in the region and in all hotel and residence buildings.
All nine houses that belong to The Chedi Andermatt are excellently insulated and built according to low-energy standards. 100% of our electricity comes from hydroelectric and wind power in the Gotthard region.
The Chedi Andermatt is easily accessible for both guests and employees by public transport. Furthermore, the majority of our vehicle fleet is electric and we offer four charging stations where guests and employees can charge their electric vehicles with 100% green electricity. Andermatt offers the sustainable "on-demand" transport service "mybuxi". This innovative combination of taxi and bus gives guests, residents of the region and employees of local businesses maximum flexibility and mobility on demand. For this, mybuxi uses electric cars powered by green electricity.
Our The Spa & Health Club uses well-known and tested brands with 100% natural ingredients for treatments.
In addition to our Aqua di Parma flagons - made from recycled PET - all our give-away The Chedi drinking bottles, for sports activities or as an enclosure for our lunch boxes, contain environmentally friendly packaging material.
The Chedi Andermatt is part of "Andermatt Responsible". "Andermatt Responsible" is the initiative for climate-friendly and sustainable tourism in the Andermatt region. You can find out more about this here.
